Voice - Summary

I started doing voiceovers as a child when my father was a producer at J.Walter Thompson in London. Over the last 40 odd years, I've done literally thousands of TV commercials, Radio commercials, Corporate V/Os, Stadium Announcements, Narrations, Talking Books, Voice-unders, Dubbing, ADR, Language Tapes, Teaching Tapes, CD ROM Training Courses, Computer Games, Cartoon Voices, Post-Synching, In-store announcements, Narratives, Trailers, Points of View letters - and the iconic Mind The Gap on the Piccadilly Line!

I was lucky to win the Carleton Hobbs Radio Award when I left the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, which lead to six months on the Radio Rep, over two hundred radio plays, and from 1982 onwards, the part of David Archer in BBC R4's legendary radio series The Archers.

I continue to do radio dramas for Big Finish, Audible and Games Workshop.

In 2018 I was astonished to be awarded an MBE for Services to Drama - I'm pretty sure this was because of The Archers!
